Shattuck & Associates Auctioneers was founded in 1987 in Austin, Texas following the footsteps of J.C. Harper Auctioneers, an auctioneering firm that originated in 1918 in San Antonio, Texas. In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, Shattuck & Associates Auctioneers conducted many hospital liquidations and surplus medical equipment auctions, and became well known in the industry for its expertise in remarketing this class of equipment.

Time and experience have made Shattuck & Associates experts at much more than selling medical equipment! Today we sell millions of dollars in laboratory and technologic equipment, electronic test and measurement equipment, telecommunications equipment, dietary and food service equipment, office furniture systems, power generation equipment, printing and copying equipment, vehicles, and surplus and recyclable materials. Our client list illustrates the scope of our services.

We conducted our first online auction on the Internet in 2000 and in 2005 launched Slapsale.com, a proprietary business to business / business to consumer online auction platform. Slapsale.com is owned and operated by E-Surplus, LLC, a joint venture of Shattuck & Associates Auctioneers and Proace Technology Services of Austin.
