Important information for prospective buyers of used medical devices in the State of Texas:

The sale or distribution of distressed medical devices is restricted under the provisions of the Texas Food, Drug, Device, and Cosmetic Salvage Act, Chapter 432, Texas Health and Safety Code. A medical device salvage broker license or medical device salvage establishment license issued by the state is required to purchase this class of medical device in Texas.

The sale, distribution, and use of prescription medical devices is restricted under the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and the Texas Food, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Salvage Act, Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 431 and Chapter 483. A device distributor license issued by the State of Texas is required to purchase this class of medical equipment bearing a federal legend or statement.
